PARDESSharukh Khan, Mahima Chodhury, Amrish Puri Kishori Lal, a billionaire, left India with only
ten dollars in his pocket to make money in America. He made it big - the

Suraj, raised in the city, is rich and spoiled, and neglected by his parents. In their first meeting, Suraj is attracted to Muscan. Slowly they become friends and realize their love for each other. Vishaal, Muscan's brother, comes to visit her at college. Suraj mistakes Vishal as Muscan's boyfriend and they get into a fight. Vishaal decides to take Muscan back to the village and Suraj decides to follow them. Upon arrival, Suraj pleads to Vishaal for Muscan, but he is turned down and told to leave the village. Heartbroken, Suraj decides to return, but happens to witness a car accident where he saves Thakur Chacha's life. Thakur Chacha offers Suraj to stay with him and help out on the farm. Not realizing that Thakur is Muscan's uncle, Suraj accepts the offer and goes with him. Vishaal is shocked to see Suraj's return and accepts Suraj's stay due to respect for Thakur Chacha. Suraj attempts to win Vishaal's respect and confidence. Meanwhile, Vishaal selects another village man for Muscan to marry, not realizing that the groom is part of a plot to take over the family property. And, Suraj's parents arrange his marriage to another girl in the city. Things get worse when Thakur Chacha sees Suraj and Muscan meeting secretly. He is furious as he feels betrayed. Meanwhile, Raja's parents have finalized plans to marry him to a friend's daughter. When Raja turns down the marriage offer, the angry parents of the girl, reveal the truth that Raja Babu is an adopted child from a poor family. Raja Babu is shocked and humbled by this revelation.
